Paper jams are almost inevitable at some point, but they’re usually easy to fix if handled carefully. First, turn the printer off before attempting to remove jammed paper — pulling paper from a running printer can damage internal rollers and void your warranty. Open all accessible doors and trays to locate the jam.
Gently pull the paper in the direction of normal travel — never backwards — using both hands to avoid tearing. Even small torn fragments left inside can cause future jams. Once cleared, check for debris, close all doors firmly, and restart the printer. Prevent future jams by using quality paper, not overfilling the tray, and regularly cleaning paper feed rollers with a lint-free cloth.
